We are driven by the belief that protecting these meaningful places isn’t just about looking back—it’s about shaping how we move forward. This work encourages thoughtful stewardship of the land, amplifies lesser‑known histories, and keeps us committed to ensuring these stories are thoughtfully preserved and shared.

What an incredible celebration of freedom, heritage, and community. A heartfelt thank you to our Steering Committee, Leadership Team, New Vine Baptist Church, church staff, volunteers, participants, and everyone who contributed their time, talents, and support to make this event such a tremendous success.

Your dedication helped create a meaningful "sense of place"...one where we honored our history, celebrated our culture, and came together in unity, joy, and reflection.

May we continue to remember the significance of Juneteenth and carry its spirit of freedom, hope, and collective progress forward.
