With autumn quickly approaching, I’m brought back to one of my fall favorites…”Autumn Symphony”
This shot was taken in the mountains of NC on a crisp fall morning. It is the reflection of autumn foliage on a small mountain lake. I felt the combination of the golden fall colors reflecting on the peaceful movement of the mountain water creating a wonderful “symphony” to convey the emotion of the scene. Hope you enjoy!

Dad and I were shooting this morning together and I was literally in the middle of putting my gear away and calling it a day at Lily Lake when the sky completely lit up. A vibrant rainbow broke through the clouds, glowing over the mountains and casting a perfect reflection across the water.

Proof that sometimes the best moments happen right when you’re about to walk away.

Blue hour hits different in the San Juans. 🏔️✨
There’s a fleeting moment right after the sun dips below the horizon where the rugged peaks of Telluride catch the last remnants of twilight, and the valley below begins to wake up. The contrast between the cold, snow-dusted ridges and the warm glow of the trail below is exactly why I chase these views.
Spotted a faint streak of light cutting through the aspens—zoom in on those autumn colors holding strong against the early snow. 🍂
