FREE Movie Prop and Cosplay Workshop

The Liberty Museum and Arts Center is opening its doors and inviting the community to come and be part of the action! We want to encourage all of Liberty to not only, come and see the wonderful exhibits planned this year, but to help create the exhibits as well. We will, provide the basic materials and teach new skills during the workshop and at the end, participants creations will be displayed at the museum!

Free Mother’s Day Luncheon at the Liberty Museum!

This Sunday, May 10th, the Liberty Museum will be holding a Mother’s Day Brunch and Cabaret, a potluck extravaganza featuring dishes inspired by the mothers of the contributing cooks. Music will be provided by Steve Schwartz Friends, and Calla Sun.
The brunch is part of the Museum’s opening 2026 exhibition, Reflections of Mother, a multi-media and multi-disciplinary show with artworks, poetry and artifacts by regional artists, all evocative of Mothers. Admission is free and the doors open at noon. Music begins at 1PM.
The Museum is open Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays , from noon until 4PM. The Museum is located at 46 South Main Street in the village of Liberty, across from the Liberty Movie Theater. For more information, or to bring a dish of your own, call Naomi at (845) 807-6055 or (845) 807-6656.

We’re kicking off the season with a full lineup of events all month long, starting with our "Reflections on Mother" exhibit, now on view. This multi-media show celebrates motherhood through art, memory, and storytelling.

As 2025 wraps up, we’re asking for your support. This year was overflowing with exhibits, performances, and community events, but our historic building needs urgent care. Three roofs need replacing ($70k), our oil tank needs replacing ($1k+), Plus year round operating costs for heat, electricity, water, website, insurance, trash, and everything it takes to host the exhibits and receptions you love.

Our volunteer run museum depends on memberships and donations to keep the doors open and to continue plans for future studio, archive, and performance spaces.

✨ Please join or renew your membership, consider increasing your level, or make a donation; monthly or one time. A new tax law even allows a $1,000 deduction ($2,000 for couples) without itemizing, through 2028.
