The Limon Heritage Museum & Railroad Park Park is located in Limon, Colorado. We're open Memorial Day through Labor Day: Thursdays through Saturdays, 1 to 7pm and Sundays 1 to 4pm. The museum is a 5 acre complex that includes a restored 1910 railroad depot, 3 rail cars (including a caboose and a dining car), and a one-room school house built in 1894. There are also antique windmills and farm machinery scattered around the property and there's an exhibit building housing many more historical displays.

Limon's H.S. Homecoming is THIS SATURDAY! And just for the occasion, we'll be open! Our hours on Saturday, October 10th, will be from 11am to 3pm. So stop by and see us! We’ll be rolling out the welcome mat for all alumni, friends, and family. We’re looking forward to your visit here at the Limon Heritage Museum & Railroad Park! As always, admission is free!

25 5th grade students from Simla paid a visit to the museum on Friday, October 2nd. Museum volunteers Regina Jo Downey and Larry Hoover were on hand to serve as guides for the group. The students were totally immersed with the history and heritage of Limon and Lincoln County. They marveled at our museum’s many exciting exhibits and truly enjoyed discovering the Life & Legacy of the Plains!

Raylyn Perry, Kendall Davis, and Kash Snyder have completed the required hours to receive the Limon Heritage Society’s 2026 Summer Scholarship! The last official day of our operating season is Labor Day. So drop on by! Hours are 10am to 4pm Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, & Friday; 1pm to 4pm Saturday & Sunday. We’re closed every Wednesday. Take a trip to yesteryear! The last official day of our operating season is Labor Day. So you still have time for a visit!
Hours are 10am to 4pm Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, & Friday; 1pm to 4pm Saturday & Sunday. We’re closed every Wednesday. As always, there is no admission charge. And we’ll even throw in some nostalgia and fond memories for free!
