300 plus Stone-ender homestead that was lived in up to 1990 and retains almost all of its historic charm. One of a kind museum and a historic gem.

The Historic 1694 Valentine Whitman, Jr. house was sold and now is in the care of the new owners. I hope that they respect and understand the treasure that they possess.

The conversion has started at the Whitman House, Preserve RI has decided to turn this historic treasure into a staycation venue. I think that this is a misuse for such a beautiful colonial mansion. It is too bad that the town of Lincoln gave up one of it's most valuable assets. I will be watching over the work to make sure that things done to VWH will not destroy its historical integrity. I will not be pushed aside in this matter!

To all of the "Friends of the Valentine Whitman House" thank you for all the years of support and love. Preserve RI has taken the house from the Town of Lincoln and we are to vacate, with all of the interior emptied, by November One third of my life has been spent on caring for this magnificent treasure. I am heartbroken and will say good-by to all my friends. Pat

The events tour and visit with Santa that were cancelled this weekend due to the upcoming snow have been rescheduled. At this time the candle light tour will take place Saturday, December 16th, 4pm-7pm. The visit with Santa will be December 17th, 1pm-4pm. For those who were going to attend the Pat Perry show 'Iron Jawed Angels' that was scheduled for December 8th - we are working to reschedule this and will notify you of an updated date and time. Thank you for your support!
