Roller Skating has been part of Lincoln's history for over 60 years. Lincoln has hosted the national competition for quite some time in the summer. Pictured: One of the 1960s competitions held at Pershing Auditorium. Today, the competition occurs -Village sports complex. The competition returns to the capital city from July 7 to August 2.

Roller Skating has a unique place in history as it can be showcased as a sport, a recreational activity, and a business. The National Museum of Roller Skating has many artifacts, but some of our most treasured show the everyday people involved in the sport.
