Windmill, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization which constructed, owns and operates an authentic Dutch windmill and heritage center in downtown Little Chute, Wisconsin. The Little Chute Windmill & Van Asten Visitor Center is a historical and educational tool for all ages and a monument to the Midwest’s Dutch heritage arising from the Dutch migrations to the United States. Tours are open to the public during regular hours posted on both the website and facebook account. The windmill is an authentic, fully functioning 1850s design from the province of North Brabant in the Netherlands and is over 100 feet tall. It was designed and built in the Netherlands, disassembled, shipped to Little Chute and reassembled. DONATING AND VOLUNTEERING
Please consider a donation to the windmill. Donations are tax-deductible and directly subsidize the maintenance and operations of the facilities and provide exhibits and educational programs for the visitors including school children. Admission charges only cover a fraction of the operating costs. If you are unable to donate, please consider volunteering at the windmill. We are always in need of volunteers to perform a range of functions including millers, tour guides, gardeners and hosts/hostesses. Information on donating or volunteering is available on our website and facebook account or may be obtained by contacting our Executive Director by phone or email. HAVE YOUR EVENT AT THE WINDMILL
The windmill, visitor center and adjacent 8500 sq. ft. Little Chute Windmill Plaza are also available for corporate and private events. Private tours during non-public hours may be arranged through the Executive Director.
