Lloyd Harbor Historical Society The Lloyd Harbor Historical Society, founded 1974, is a non-profit, volunteer organization, dedicated to preserving the early history of the area.

The main focus of the Society has been the restoration and preservation of the Henry Lloyd Manor House built 1711, the George W. Barn, and the surrounding gardens and grounds. The Society provides numerous educational opportunities including activities for all ages, as well as lectures and social events which celebrate the unique history of this beautiful part of Long Island's North Shore.

Our Open House on Friday, September 8, was quite the success and very well attended. Toby Kissam and Robert Hughes presented “Sammisville,” a history of the Sammis family houses in Lloyd Harbor.
Our next event will be on October 14. To celebrate Jupiter Hammon’s birthday there will be tours of the Henry Lloyd House and Joseph Lloyd House. Stay tuned for updates.

OPEN HOUSE
