It is a universal language. It connects, nurtures, and fosters hope. Realizing the potential of art to raise the vibration of those exposed, local artist Alex Terry founded and opened a storefront with studio space in Lock Haven. His vision included gathering like-minded local artists to share the space and develop a collective, creative energy. He had numerous artists' and craftmen's work
for sale along with lots of unique gifts and vinyl records. Alex was successful in recruiting artists but quickly learned that being a shopkeeper is not ideal for producing work, and the storefront was closed. However, the collective energy survived and even strengthened. Alex and several local artists including Marianne Olivo and Jessica Williams have regrouped to become Artists United and established a functional space for inspiration, creativity, and community. Rather than brick and mortar retail, we are developing an online one-stop-shop from the website to offer and promote the work of local artists along with a sweet selection of vinyl. We invite you to get to know the artists, explore their process, and view their work. We encourage you to join us in supporting the arts locally and even to discover your own artist within. After all, we are all Artists United as humans, fine tuning the masterpiece of our own life, through the Art of Living. We're so much more similar than different.
