Today is the day!

It’s time to show your support for the work the San Joaquin County Historical Museum is doing by donating to our 209Gives campaign! For the past few days, we’ve been highlighting several ways the Museum is making a difference. From helping kids learn important lessons and make lifelong memories through our education programs, to bringing generations together in celebration of their heritage, history isn’t just about “then” – history is TODAY!

From now until 11:59pm, visit our 209Gives page to make your donation and support our mission to preserve, share, and celebrate the history of San Joaquin County.

Let's reach our $30,000 goal! We can’t do it without YOU!

Volunteers have been a cornerstone of the San Joaquin County Historical Museum from the beginning. In 1972, the first formally trained docents began leading tours of the Museum and educating guests about the thrilling history of San Joaquin County. Today, our knowledgeable and hardworking docents and other volunteers, known as Friends of the Museum, are as active as ever.

We are thankful today and every day for the vital role they play in heling the Museum achieve its goals of preserving, sharing, and celebrating the unique stories of San Joaquin County’s past.

You can show your support for our amazing volunteers by donating to the Museum during 209Gives on Tuesday, May 19th! Visit our link-in-bio to learn more and get ready to give!

We’re just under two weeks away from 209Gives!

The San Joaquin County Historical Museum is extremely thankful for the Lodi Community Foundation and their $750 dollar-for-dollar match for this year's 209Gives! This generous gift means that the first $750 raised on May 19th will equal a total of $1,500 for our 209Gives campaign!

The mission of the Lodi Community Foundation is to advocate and facilitate charitable giving to create lasting legacies that build a stronger Lodi community.

We are grateful to the Lodi Community Foundation for supporting the mission of the San Joaquin County Historical Museum and our legacy in the Lodi area.

Join us on May 19th, 2026 between 12:00am and 11:59pm to show your support for the work we are doing to preserve, share, and celebrate local history.

Pardon our dust! Work has begun on repairing and updating the Museum’s main septic system. The Museum is still open for educational programs and for visitors (Thursday-Sunday), but you may notice a bit of extra noise and activity near our front entrance. Our main restrooms will be closed for the next week as this work continues, but facilities are available nearby, in Micke Grove Park.

We are extremely thankful to the County of San Joaquin for investing in our parks and public spaces to keep them beautiful, useable, and accessible to all!
