If you've driven by and wondered what's causing the smoke, here's what's happening!

One of the cranberry bogs is being replanted. First, the bog is mowed, then the old vines and weeds are burned. Next, the top layer of soil scalped (removed). After that, the holding pond is dredged to provide sand and increase water storage capacity. Pumping the sandy water into the bog.

The sand from the holding pond is less salty than beach sand, making it ideal for the bog. The added depth also allows the pond to hold more water for future use.

The next step? Planting new cranberry vines!

It's all part of the cranberry growing process happening right here at the Cranberry Museum bogs. Stop by and see what's going on!

🇺🇸 Happy Flag Day! 🇺🇸

Did you know the American flag was officially adopted on June 14, 1777? The original flag featured 13 stars and 13 stripes to represent the first colonies. Today, our flag proudly displays 50 stars—one for each state.

At the Cranberry Museum & Gift Shop, we are proud to have a beautiful 45-star American flag on display, representing a unique piece of our nation's history.

🐝 Look! Our bees are here! 🐝

The bees have arrived, and they're hard at work pollinating our cranberry blossoms! Their important job helps ensure a healthy cranberry harvest each year.

As a thank-you for all their hard work, they get free room and board! 😊

Yesterday's class was amazing!
Dr. Cranberry shared a wealth of information about the incredible benefits of cranberries—from the skin to the seed. Attendees learned about the many ways cranberries can support health and wellness, and enjoyed some delicious samples too!
