Here we are! Just days from the opening of the 42nd Annual Washington State International Kite Festival and Long Beach has been taken over by a few bus loads of young ones from the South West Washington YMCA! Come check out all of the fun! We are setting up all weekend, the approach will close down to traffic on Sunday morning, and WSIKF opens Monday morning! See you on the sand! Photo credit: Nellie Hux

Happy Saturday Everyone!!! If you are in the area, the MERCHANDISE BOOTH is OPEN! Come down and say Hi and get your festival Shirts, Sweatshirts, Baseball Caps, Pint Glasses, and Coffee Mugs and much more! Open daily from 9am - 5pm from now all the way through the Kite Festival!

Special Guests ARE BACK!!! This will be the first time since 2020 that we are bringing back our special guests. This year we are honored to be welcoming 5-time World Champion Carl Robertshaw from the UK, as well as Master Designer Scott Hampton from Salt Lake City, UT. Carl will be flying on Friday 8/25 at 2:30pm & Saturday 8/26 at 2:30pm on Field A. Scott will have a ground garden going next to the registration booth all week, and flying on Thursday 8/24 at 2:00pm on Field A. Mark your calendars to come and see both of these incredible flyers showcase their talents.

IT'S HERE!!!! Come on down to the beach and celebrate Kite Flying month this weekend with the Spring Fling Fun Fly with the Long Beach Fliers! Sponsored by The World Kite Museum. Weather permitting, there will be a Saturday Night Kite Flight. While in town, come and see The World Kite Museum located at 303 Sid Snyder Dr in Long Beach.
