Bonny Burbank Shuptrine and The Painted Dress, Artist in Residence at The Edwin Hotel, May 29th - May 31st!

Join us at The Edwin Hotel for a special Artist in Residence weekend featuring acclaimed artist Bonny Burbank Shuptrine of The Painted Dress. Throughout the weekend, Bonny will be painting in the hotel’s common areas, offering guests a unique opportunity to observe her process, learn about her techniques, and engage in conversation about her work.

Known for her richly textured paintings of gowns, wedding dresses, and christening garments, Bonny captures the elegance and emotion of life’s most meaningful moments.

Guests are invited to stop by, watch live demonstrations, ask questions, and experience the intersection of fine art and fashion in an intimate, welcoming setting. We hope to see you there!

Shuptrine's Excellence in Restoration and Conservation
A luxurious Venetian eglomisé mirror featuring verre églomisé—a technique of applying silver or gold leaf and engraved designs to the reverse side of glass. The mirror was repaired and regilded using methods approved by the American Institute of Conservation. Celebrating Chattanooga’s Citywide Art Week, acclaimed artist Alan Shuptrine will serve as the Artist-in-Residence at The Edwin Hotel April 17th-19th, 2026!
