REGISTER NOW for drawing or painting classes at The Karen Wray Gallery for January! Our studio classes are designed for adults or teens 18 and over, and class sizes are limited, so sign up today! All classes run eight weeks, three hours/week, for $240/student plus supplies.

Beginning Drawing Class by Jared Krupp, starting Sunday, Jan. 11 from 9:30am-12:30pm, eight weeks for $240/student plus supplies! Students will learn the fundamentals of drawing including understanding lines, shapes, proportions, perspective, and shading. These elements will provide students with a strong foundation for creating accurate and compelling drawings.

If you are looking for a more advanced drawing class or have previously taken a beginning drawing Class and want to learn more, Jared’s Continuing Drawing Class will resume on Wednesday, Jan. 7 from 9:30am-12:30pm.

Beginning Watercolor Painting Class by Han in Huang/Wong, starting Wednesday afternoon, Jan. 7 from 1-4pm OR a second session starting Saturday, Jan. 10 from 1-4pm.

Have you always wanted to learn how to paint, but don’t know where to start or have tried painting, but quit in frustration? Do you start with watercolors or acrylics? How do you begin? Karen Wray’s Painting for the Absolute Beginner Class will guide you through the basics of painting, starting with oil paints, due to their more forgiving nature. This class will start Tuesday, Jan. 6 from 9:30am-12:30pm.

Not a beginner, but want to paint with a group, Karen’s Continuing Painting Class resumes Saturday, Jan. 10 from 9:30am-12:30pm.

We didn't have a white Christmas this year, but it was a relaxing day for many. We celebrate the season this week, and we are happy to meet visitors as well as locals who have been stopping by! It's a great week to enjoy your time off, enjoy our fresh air, and explore. So stop in and say hello! This is one magnificent piece, and we love how Richard captured the quiet beauty and early morning light of Box Canyon, right here in the Jemez Mountains.
