The Fine Art of Classic Fresco iLA Designs & Production is an applied arts studio focused on re-introduction of classic fresco into contemporary aesthetics.

iLA Designs & Production provides designers, architects, collectors, and the public with professional resources in applied arts. Our unique specialty, in addition to classic murals and trompe l'oeil, is BUON FRESCO, or TRUE FRESCO, the oldest and most celebrated painting technique. True fresco is 100% green, a pure organic medium with zero VOC; all elements come from the earth. Our plaster is made

of marble lime putty and sand, our pigments are prepared from naturally colored minerals and clays. As the wet plaster absorbs the natural paint and reacts with the air, the pigments FUSE permanently with the cured plaster, leaving works of art that will remain intact for millennia. The exterior, as well as the interior walls of Pompeii, and Michelangelo’s Sistine Chapel ceiling are well-known examples of this buon fresco process. Our expertise in buon fresco, the foundation of applied arts, enables our company to deliver natural finishes, plasters, and elements of décor without using modern faux finishing acrylic and oil surface substitutes. We refine classic, centuries-old techniques to seamlessly integrate with sophisticated contemporary aesthetics, reflecting the individual client’s personal taste, style and knowledge of authentic finishes. In addition to creating fresco paintings, we provide art direction, management, implementation and installation architectural and interior décor elements as well as restoration. Our team of hand-picked artists certified by the Fresco School (www.frescoschool.org) has completed numerous projects with true buon fresco décor in many private residences. Our commercial projects include Caesar’s Palace in Las Vegas, the Park Plaza Hotel in Los Angeles, Roosevelt Hotel in Hollywood, Governor’s Ball decor at the 73rd and 76th Academy Awards, and the 50th Emmy Awards. I loved playing this piano at our studio. Kent Twitchell painted the hands and the portrait of Jeffrey Kahane for the "Play me I'm Yours" event in Los Angeles that starts tomorrow. 30 individually decorated pianos will be played in public places in LA.
