Opening in Los Angeles on 9.22.26 Co-founded by George Lucas and Mellody Hobson, the Lucas Museum will open in Los Angeles’s Exposition Park in 2026 with a building designed by architect Ma Yansong of MAD Architects with Stantec as the executive architect and an 11-ac

re campus with expansive new green space designed by Studio-MLA. The 300,000-square-foot building will feature large galleries, two state-of-the-art theaters, a library, and areas for learning, dining, shopping, and events.

Last night, the Lucas Museum celebrated the artists in our inaugural collection with a special preview hosted by George Lucas and Mellody Hobson. Together with directors, curators, and collectors of Los Angeles, we honored the achievements of the creative minds whose work made this museum possible.
