Last month, Jasmine Wahi, Founder and co-Director of Project for Empty Space led a conversation on art and activism with our Executive Director Nellie Scott and artists Azikiwe Mohammed and Marilyn Minter - these are just a few quotes from that conversation that we are taking with us.

Thank you to the Robert Rauschenberg Foundation for hosting us in The Chapel in New York, Rauschenberg’s former home and studio.

“I should like to be able to love my country and still love justice.” - Camus

We heard many of you asking if you could bring this favorite poster home with you. It is now in available the shop as a magnet - ready for your fridge, workspace, or wherever you could use the reminder.

After moving to Boston in 1968, Corita created thousands of watercolors. In a moment of great change, she turned to a more intimate medium, painting landscapes, seascapes, and an abundance of flowers. Wishing everyone who tends, nurtures, and notices beauty a Happy Mother’s Day!

Need a little inspiration this weekend? Book your visit to CAC today!

We’re open every Saturday, but you will need an appointment (use the link in our bio). Our gallery space is intimate and we want to make sure everybody who visits us can take their time and space with our current exhibition. If you’re not sure where to start, we recommend booking our 1pm close looking tour.

The CAC shop is also officially open at our Arts District location 💚 We collaborate directly with local artisans, brands, and manufacturers to ethically produce and source our products. New designs and goodies will show up here first before they go online for our LA community! Right now, we’re stocked up with unreleased magnet designs, sold out mugs, tees, posters and lots of books. Proceeds from our store directly support our mission.

See you tomorrow!

Now on view: “Unordinary Days, Celebration as Resistance”

This exhibition highlights the spirit of revolution, celebration, community, and experimentation of the 1960s that made Mary’s Day on the Immaculate Heart College campus a beacon of hope, asking what it means to celebrate in times of crisis and what joy and collective imagination make possible.

We are open Saturdays between 11:00 AM and 4:00 PM – be sure to make your free reservation on our website. We offer guided tours, family friendly workshops (check out the events tab for what’s on this week!), and quiet hours to visit and explore the show on your own.

Show the CAC collection some love by adopting a flat-file drawer for a year. Your name will live inside our collection room, helping care for and preserve the materials that power everything we do.

Your support helps us maintain the systems that keep artworks accessible and protected, and sustains the behind-the-scenes work that makes exhibitions, programs, and moments of connection possible.

Make it personal: name a drawer solo, share one with a friend, add your company’s logo, or dedicate a drawer in honor or memory of someone you love. Learn more in the link in bio.
