Camp Zachary Taylor History Museum

Camp Zachary Taylor History Museum A project that is now underway that will restore the Camp Zachary Taylor Motor School Building and create The Camp Zachary Taylor Pavilion and Museum.

Camp Zachary Taylor was Military Training Camp built near Louisville Ky in 1917, for the training of troops during World War 1. Built in less than 90 days, it covered 2600+ acres plus 16000 acres down river at West Point. It was without question the largest single project ever built in Louisville, employing over 10,000 workers at the peak of construction. The planned Camp Zachary Taylor History Mu

seum will be a permanent memorial to honor those 150,000 men and women who were at the cantonement, and provide a view into our past history, which is being lost and forgotten to all of our descendants.
