Have you ever wondered how some glass can be super shiny? By tossing in a wad of paper, it creates a high gas atmosphere and a big flame (which is incredibly satisfying). This reacts with the metal oxides in the glass colors bringing them to the surface in a metallic sheen. There is a method to the madness! We promise we’re not all pyromaniacs (🤞)

If you’ve ever wanted to learn how to blow glass, here’s your chance! ⚡️

In these six-week beginning classes, students will experience a range of glass blowing techniques designed to inspire and orient them to the creative possibilities of glass blowing. Students will learn to create a variety of glass forms, including paperweights, ornaments, bowls, cups, and more! 🏺

Six sessions, meeting once per week. 🔥

Fall and Spring Intensives available 🍁🌸

Fall begins 10/28! 🍂

Students must be 18+, or 15+ it taken with a parent or guardian✨

Our class embarked upon not only the odyssey of learning to hot cast, but also collaborated to make a 3D visual rendering of The Odyssey! Using hot sculpted elements, freeze n’fuse pieces and found objects, JW has combined them (with hot sandcasting) to make some complex works. It’s all about the different techniques! ✨
