Selected by their peers and by the thousands of visitors who experienced this year’s exhibition, these awards celebrate two exceptional works that captured the imagination of artists and art lovers alike.

There is still time to see these award-winning pieces and hundreds of other works by 65 of Colorado’s top artists. Visit the 35th Annual Colorado Governor’s Art Show & Sale at the Loveland Museum through Saturday, June 6, and take home a piece of Colorado art while supporting the show’s Art with Heart mission. Governor Jared Polis presented the 250/150/35 Governor’s Legacy Art Award, sponsored by UCHealth, to Parker McDonald of Longmont for “The Compadres.”

Created in honor of Colorado’s 150th anniversary, America’s 250th anniversary, and the 35th year of the Colorado Governor’s Art Show & Sale, the award recognizes artwork that reflects Colorado’s story, spirit, and evolving identity.
