The new display of Kathy Ruth Neal sculptures drew a crowd today under the Big Top from Kansas City, Hutchinson and Denmark.
Susan Sanders from Kansas City, MO talked about Kathy’s inspiration for the work.
They are worth the trip- come visit us.

Lucas is a day trip! Garden of Eden, Grassroots Art Center, Bowl Plaza, Brant’s Market, Switchgrass, World’s Largest Expo, Lucas Public Library. Lodging, fuel, food and shopping. Beautiful park with Disc Golf. Baseball and Softball games and concessions. Lucas Area Community Theater fo movies and concessions.

Saturday, May 16th will be the Open House for the new Kathy Ruth Neal artwork from 1-3pm at the Grassroots Art Center, 213 S. Main St., Lucas, KS. The title for the original carvings is “Greatest Show on Earth.” Susan Sanders will be present at 1:30pm to share Kathy’s thought processes on these new political, circus, and clever “in jest“ wood sculptures. Everyone is welcome to attend free of admission for this event.
