🎨Art-Related post, please read 💖👩🎨
✨️✨️✨️So I just wanted to share with you guys- That lately I haven't been selling my art. I've changed the purpose of my art. For a while I was lost and only wanted to sell what I made- thats when it became a chore, a job. I saw myself as not successful because I wasn't selling the amount that I wanted- but failed to realize I'm not *that* type of artist.
Im the type of artist who likes to make what I WANT, not what EVERYONE else wants. Art has helped me express myself in so many different ways- and I want to continue expressing myself, keep alot of the art I make and using it as a therapeutic experience, and thats the exact opposite of making money. I absolutely LOVE sharing my art for FREE- a reason I decided to paint my mural downtown and keep my page going. I love making gifts for my family and friends and the suprise on their face when I say "Yes, I made that" it means so much more to me than money. 💖💖💖💖
✨️ So with that being said- I won't be doing anymore customs. Everything I make is usually for sale (unless I absolutely want to keep it) but I won't be doing anything that isn't a true expression of myself or that I dont absolutely enjoy doing. I want to be passionate about the subject im creating.
Im very blessed with a job that allows me to make money while doing mostly creative things. I also have the opportunity to teach what I know and help others grow as artists. 🍀🎨👩🎨
Art is worth so much more than making money to me. The praise of creating something beautiful or creating a piece that resonates with other people is worth so much more. I LOVE to share my talent. If I make a little money here and there, it's not bad, but I will no longer let it be the purpose that drives me to create art.
How can you help me? By sharing my art, liking my pictures and telling me I did a good job, seriously.😅
If you see something that speaks to you, let me know and we can work something out, just no customs, only expressions of myself allowed.
Thanks for coming to my Ted talk.
