Josh, asked me to paint his friend Cowboy!
My ultimate goal for learning watercolor is to paint my grandkids. I have made a couple attempts without success.
I attempted Cowboy as another portrait practice. Practice, practice, practice!!

Happy Fall!
This is a quick watercolor on yupo paper. Yupo doesn’t absorb the paint, so this one might make a few more transformations before it’s done done!
Enjoy!

This piece started in a challenge to complete the painting in 45 min. That was a disaster!
I took what I had stared, add to it, tweaked a few things & reworked a few areas. Surprisingly, I love how this turned out.
I like the looseness of this one.

“Kissin’ Chickens”

I went to a friend’s house for a cookout a few weeks ago and took a picture of two of his chickens (rooster & hen). They appeared to be kissing and I thought it was cute. Enjoy!

I started painting Sparky in Feb and I had painted everything except the area above Sparky. I struggle with backgrounds.
I decided just to give it a light blue wash and not to add anything else (I thought it would be too busy & I didn’t want to mess him up).
I did brighten up the red jersey and Sparky’s feathers(😂).
I am please with how he turned out.
I am making a few prints (giclees).
DM me if you are interested in one.

I’m finally finished with Walter,
Abby & Josh’s dog.
Watercolor on cold press paper.
I haven’t painted much in the past few months & I didn’t realize how much I missed it.
Thanks for looking.

Playing with colors while painting fruit!

I thought this lesson was going to be boring!! But to my surprise, it has been one of my favorites!!! I love all the dimensions the colors have added to my paintings.

I am a constant work in progress. Thanks for joining me on my journey.
