Lynchburg's Memorial Day ceremony will be held at noon on Sunday, May 24th at the Masonic Cemetery on High Street, Lynchburg, Ohio. In case of rain, it will move to the shelter house at the Old School Park. As a small part of the ceremony this year, the Lynchburg, Ohio Historical Society will talk about the life and sacrifice of TEC5 Emery James Gray, 640th Medical Clearing Company, US Army Ground Forces.

As we continue building momentum toward Highland County’s America 250 Celebration, we’re excited to introduce the dedicated individuals serving on our planning committee!
This group represents a wide range of community leaders, partners, and volunteers who are working behind the scenes to bring meaningful events, programs, and activities to life as we honor 250 years of American Independence.

As an experiment, the Historical Society is going to try open hours on a Saturday and on a Wednesday evening as an alternative to Tuesdays. We'd like to entice more people to come in and visit us to look at our collections! Here is our schedule for the next few weeks; please share it with your family, friends, and even your frenemies!
