🚂National Train Day - Explore the history of trains in this region with special exhibits, activities, and a fantastic model train display. Free event on May 9 from 11-2 at Wauseon Depot.
🌿Herbs, Weeds and Wanderings – Join us on Friday, May 15 at 7 PM to learn about the traditional uses of native and naturalized wild plants — how they were foraged, prepared, and used in everyday life.

The Lyons Historical society is now taking orders on the 2026 - 2027 Community calendar. The calendar starts at July of this year and ends June of next year, the Calendars are $8.50 each and .50 cents for each birthday, anniversary, memorial, or local events. If you would like to order a calendar, please call Mildred McCance at 419-923-5334, Reann Figley at 419-822-6782, Heather Schimmel at 513-300-0939 or Mary Cooan at 419-923-0561. Please have your order in by April 18th, 2026. The calendar is a fund raiser for our Historical society.

Our Historical Society will be having our annual SANTA CLAUSE at our museum. You are encouraged to bring your cameras and take pictures of your children with Santa. There will be refreshments, this is a free event put on by our Historical Society. Mark your calendars, December 7th, 1:30 to 4:00. Hope to see you at our museum.

The Lyons Historical Society would like to thank the Fulton County Museum for having their history tour at our depot. We had around 100 people that came on the tour and saw our museum. Thank you to everyone that went on the tour and for your support.

📣🚨ATTENTION:
Earlier this week, letters were mailed out to all 90+ members we have listed in our books asking for dues, and updated phone numbers and email addresses - PLEASE either mail those back with your info and dues payment, or reach out to me (Reann Figley, Treasurer) via text, call, or email (all my contact info was included in the letter), or on my personal facebook or this one! (Please also let me know if you no longer wish to be a member)! 🚨‼️

With that being said, we need new members! If you are interested, please reach out! Dues are $10 a year per person and right now if you join that $10 will cover you from now through December of 2026. Being a member does not require you to participate, but we encourage everyone to join a meeting when able/available (meetings are typically the last Tuesday of the month at the Depot in Lyons at noon)

*The next meeting is Tuesday October 28th at Noon! Please join us - a light lunch is provided 😊
