The museum is closed this afternoon due to weather. Staff are driving home to St. James. The highway isn't nice, so stay home if you can.

Christmas Day, closed.

New Year's Day, closed.
Our decorated Christmas trees will be on display through the 31st. See you soon!

SATURDAY, NOVEMBER 22, 10:00 - 4:00, 423 DILL AVE SW, MADELIA
The museum is a perfect place to take a family photo for your holiday cards! There's a winter sleigh, buggy, jeep, fire truck, covered wagon, log cabin...you get the idea! Bring the whole family on Saturday, November 22 for our Razzle Dazzle Open House. Check out the decorated trees, eat some treats, find the dalmatians and view the new Kelsey military display. This is a free event at the Watonwan County Historical Society. (My husband thought the photo would be a good idea...)

Visit two museums Sunday afternoon, Lake Crystal Historical Society at 102 West Humphrey Street, Lake Crystal and the Watonwan County Historical Society at 423 Dill Ave SW, Madelia. Both are open Sunday, September 28 from 1:00 - 4:00. Should make for an enjoyable afternoon! Free Admission!

Sunday afternoon drive idea! The Watonwan County Historical Society is open Sunday, August 31 from 1:00 - 4:00. Stop in at 1 to visit our free museum and then take this Hanska Area Historical Tour from 2:00 - 5:00. The museum is located at 423 Dill Ave SW, Madelia. NOTE: The museum will be closed Labor Day, Monday, September 1.

The Steve Anderson Building dedication was a success with support from the board, the family, and the community! If you missed the ribbon cutting ceremony on July 12, you can visit us today to view the new displays in the air conditioning. We are open today, July 27, from 1:00 - 4:00.
