The Wisconsin Veterans Museum Foundation is excited to announce the General Lew Harned Patriotic Legacy Committee, chaired by Miss Natalie Popp—and we’re looking for the next generation of leaders to join us!
We are seeking young leaders ages 16–24 who are passionate about serving our veterans, preserving their stories, and ensuring their legacies are never forgotten.

This committee is about more than volunteering. It is an opportunity to:
1. Develop leadership skills
2. Become an advocate for Wisconsin’s veterans
3. Help tell and preserve veterans’ stories
4. Bring new ideas and perspectives to the Wisconsin Veterans Museum Foundation
5. Engage your peers and the next generation with our veterans’ history
6. Build relationships with other young leaders who share your passion for service

The goal is to create a group of future leaders, advocates, volunteers, and philanthropists who will help carry the mission of the Wisconsin Veterans Museum and Foundation forward for generations to come.

We are excited to begin building this committee under Natalie’s leadership and welcome additional members who want to make a meaningful impact.

Interested in learning more or know someone who would be a great fit?

📩 Send a message to Natalie Popp at [email protected], and we’ll send you the application information and instructions.

Your generation. Their legacy. Your opportunity to make a difference.

Last week, we celebrated our incredible members, donors, board, and the Wisconsin Veterans Museum's staff at our Difference Maker Celebration. Their unwavering support truly helps us make a difference and enables the museum to share even more veterans' stories. It was a wonderful evening filled with reflection of the museum's past 125 years and excitement for what's ahead.

⭐️ A special thanks to our food sponsors; Bloom Bake Shop and Blue Plate Catering for their generosity in donating delicious appetizers and brownies!

Last week, we had the privilege of welcoming Doug Bradley- Vietnam veteran, educator, and author- to our quarterly Mess Night at the Museum.

Reading excerpts from his music-based memoir, "The Tracks of My Years", Doug shared the soundtrack of his life while recounting stories from childhood, boot camp, Vietnam, and more. Between stories, Sean Michael Dargan provided live music featuring songs Doug referenced. Each classic tune filled the atmosphere with nostalgia and had the audience happily singing along. It was a beautiful reminder of how music unites us all. Thank you Doug and Sean Michael for sharing your talents!

We are grateful for the continued support of our 2026 Mess Night Series Sponsor, Generac, whose dedication to this program allows us to keep sharing and honoring the stories of our veterans.
