Living Manuscript strives to avoid letting people die of imagination by creating lifelike and immersive atmospheres primarily as 14th century English men at arms, we travel to events to show off techniques in fighting, warfare tactics, and to educate on similar topics.

For my Wisconsin folks, THIS WEEKEND I will have this sparring set available for sale at !

Some details:
HELMET: inspired by early burgonets, notably one in the GNM dated to around 1500. Its skull is 14g mild, ear flaps 16g mild, and visor 18g perforated stainless. It has a leather suspension liner from the original manufacturer (unsure who made it tho).

The arms are 18g stainless with dark brown leather straps and handmade buckles. The lower canon, elbow, and upper canon are all individual pieces and can be mixed & matched to taste.

Finally, the brigandine has plates of 18g stainless covering the front only, with a tough green denim outer shell and several layers of canvas inside.

Supplemental pieces include: gorget, made of 18g mild and hood of black canvas, bith made by someone else.

All of this fits me at 5'8" 120lbs, though the helmet fits a head up to 22" around.

I did a LARP :)

Played a redwing blackbird themed character, as they're all over the place at the moment and the territorial defense suited the story well. Ultimately, she was defeated while defending a ritual taking place. Classic villain stuff hey?

Used some old armor here: black coat of plates, bascinet, amd great helm all made about 8 years ago! Though they still fit :) Featuring a little helm crest i made at 2am.
