… and just like that…Five years flew by…. The Nest Gallery is now CLOSED. Forever. A warm, “Thank You”, to all of my artists, customers and followers for all your kindness and support! Over the span of 5 years my friend and I started a candle company while being furloughed at Red Wing Shoe, I leased my beautiful, sunlit gallery space, paused for Covid lockdowns, finally opened The Nest Gallery that September in 2020,quit my job at RW Shoe, was blessed with 3 more grandchildren in addition to my grandson (born in 2019), lost my precious nephew and 3 wonderful artists. During this time, I also got to know, and married my sweet husband, Joshua. My pottery studio got an overhaul, and we still continue to host guests in our home! Whew!!! 😅 I’m planning to spend more time with family, and focus on my own art at Little Square Farmhouse (listed on Airbnb) Please feel free to stay in touch! With much Gratitude, Leah

Great idea!

The Grand Hand Resale Event is coming!

We are now accepting submissions to sell your gently used art through the Grand Hand. If you’re downsizing, moving, redecorating, or just have more stuff than space, we would love to hear about the art you’re ready to re-home.

We’re interested in well-maintained art that we can reasonably evaluate. Art and craft previously purchased at the Grand Hand is great. Work of regional artists we’re familiar with is also great.

Send submissions to [email protected], including:
• Pictures of the piece (cell phone images are fine)
• Artist’s name (if known)
• When and where you got the item
• Any additional information you have

If accepted, your items should be dropped off at the Grand Hand between January 6th and January 10th. Your piece will be sold on consignment; you own your art until somebody purchases it, and the gallery splits the purchase price with you. Unsold work will need to be picked up between February 28th and March 3rd.

The Resale Event will run from January 13th to February 27th, 2025. Help spread the word, and be sure to come shop the sale!

NEWS FLASH: Did you know The Nest gift wraps for FREE with purchase? ALSO: for the remainder of the year, (Last Day, December 21st) we will be Closed on Thursdays, but will be open again on Sundays! Also, a heads up, we will be CLOSED Thanksgiving Day and weekend. If you’d really like to stop by any day we are closed, shoot a text or email and I’ll do what I can! 🍗🙏🏼🦃

The Nest Gallery has some fun things in store! We are busy getting set for the holidays, therefore, we will be Closed Thursday AND Friday November 7th & 8th, BUT will be Open Saturday AND Sunday !!! Gearing up for a great Holiday Season and New Year! (Remember, as always, The Nest will also open by appointment, so please email if you’d like to stop by another day!

Does anyone in the Maiden Rock area have any pampas grass you’d be able to share with me? I’d love to have some to fill a big vase and some for fall decor at The Nest. Even better if anyone wants me to dig some up so I can plant in my yard! Let me know of any leads! 😁🤗
