Mission Statement: The American Museum of Fly Fishing is the steward of the history, traditions and practices of the sport of fly fishing and promotes the conservation of its waters. The Museum collects, preserves, exhibits, studies, and interprets the artifacts, art, and literature of the sport and uses these resources to engage, educate and benefit all. AMFF is pleased to announce the newest addition to our Springfield, Missouri gallery: Global Attraction. This two-panel exhibit showcases a diverse array of gamefish pursued by fly anglers around the world, accompanied by a curated selection of flies designed to help anglers successfully catch - and release - some of the globe’s most exciting sportfish.

AMFF Honors Meredith McCord With The 2026 Izaak Walton Award

The American Museum of Fly Fishing (AMFF) is proud to announce that world-class angler, entrepreneur, humanitarian, educator, travel host, and record chaser Meredith McCord will receive the 2026 Izaak Walton Award. A special celebration honoring McCord will take place on November 18, 2026, at the Briar Club in Houston, Texas, bringing together members of the fly fishing, conservation, and outdoor communities, along with family and friends, to celebrate her extraordinary contributions to the sport.

A sold-out crowd gathered at the New York Yacht Club on the evening of Thursday, April 23, for a celebration worthy of the occasion. The Model Room buzzed with energy from the start of cocktail hour, filled with friends, fellow writers, anglers, and admirers who had traveled from across the country and beyond to be part of the night.
