We are currently tending to some of the needs at the Bishop Baraga Shrine Site at Indian Lake. One recent improvement is a new "Bishop Baraga Shrine Site" road sign has been installed at the corner of Arrowhead Drive and Co. Road 440. Many thanks to the Schoolcraft County Road Commission for the new sign!

We are working on creating new content and deepening the story of Bishop Baraga and the Anishinabek and look forward to sharing such within the informational kiosk.

In the coming weeks, the existing "posts" that support the Bishop Baraga's First Church historical marker will be replaced with 10' aluminum posts. The current posts (aggregate concrete) will need to be removed to make way for the new 10' aluminum posts, as a result, we may have to temporarily tuck the marker away as we prepare the existing holes for the new posts. We appreciate your patience and support as we tend to this special site in the coming months.
