I painted this lotus in 2022.
My second baby was 2 months old.
I was tired, alone, far from home.

Before, I was a journalist. I had a name, a job, a life I loved.
But I had to leave my country.
I lost everything.

This was my first painting after all of that.
A woman asked me to paint a lotus for her jewelry store.
I said yes — not just to her, but to myself.

I painted it at night. In silence.
With one hand still holding my baby.

That’s how I came back to life.

It’s just a flower — but for me, it’s the beginning.

Kamala Harris is a leader who cares about equality, access to healthcare, and the protection of human rights. In contrast, Trump continues to sow division and ignore real issues. Although I cannot vote, I support those who can make a choice for positive change. Please vote for Kamala Harris and a better future!
