The Manlius Historical Society, in conjunction with the Bureau County History Center (Bureau County Historical Society), will be hosting an event, Saturday, April 25, 2026, at the Trinity Lutheran Church in Manlius at 3:00. The topic will be The New Bedford Elites Softball Team and Earl Stickel. The Bureau County History Center will be giving the presentation. There will be no charge for this event. Refreshments will be served.
If anyone has any pictures or information that you would like to display and share with us relative to this event, you may bring it to the church that day. Please call Deb Cushman @ 815-716-0956 or Barb Bolin @ 815-878-3975 with questions or to reserve your table.
We look forward to hosting this event and hope to do other presentations on the history of the area in the future. The Manlius Historical Society will be open that day from 10:00 to 2:30.

Hello everyone, it's that time of year again! We would love to see you at our annual Drawdown! ( See attached information). Even if you aren't able to attend, you could still enter to win by purchasing a ticket from our members listed below and also support the Manlius Historical Society. We are still open for tours of the First State Bank and Museum through October 25. Hope to see you there!

Hello friends. We are excited to be updating our website with loads of digital pictures and articles that we have accumulated over the years. We just went through a training to learn about how to categorize and tag all of our digital images so that you can search for names, businesses, schools, churches, etc. Will also try to post some of these items on this page so that you can see the great items that we have on display at the First State Bank Museum. If you have any questions or ideas please leave us a post!

Thank you to all of you who supported our drawdown and Fish Fry dinner last Saturday at the Manlius Sportsman's Club. We are so grateful for everyone's support whether you bought a ticket or made a donation. We also want to thank Thrivent and Modern Woodmen of America for their support and funding. We made over $7,000! These funds will go towards the 14 windows that we recently replaced on the second floor of our historic Bank building. If you haven't toured our bank and museum we would love to see you and show you around. We are open the rest of the Saturdays in October from 10:00 to 2:00 and then we'll be closed for the winter. We'll always take appointments if you can't make it during those hours. Again, we appreciate your support!
