After 40 years of building, Jim decided to try something a little different and out of his norm. He went to the store and got some basic paint brushes and some oil paint and canvas. He came home and after a few hours and much to his surprise he had a talent. But with the building business booming he found he did not have the time. This was 4 years ago. In August 2019 he met a young (48) widow name
d Sheila who not only fell in love with him and his paintings as well. In November 2020 during the first Covid pandemic Jim contracted Legionnaire Decease. After a week in ICU and a week in standard room in the hospital ( alone with no visitors) and several Dr.s and nurses telling Sheila they don't think he will make it, he came home. After loosing 40 lbs., week and frail and not being able to walk without help as well as having brain fog, he started to heal. When his strength started coming back he was bored and decided to start painting again. Jim spent 8 months healing and painting. Nothing he painted was good enough for him. Sheila loved each and everyone he did and hung them all up in the house. He started showing people and they loved them as well. With Jim's physical limitations due to 3 hernias, 100% torn tendons in his shoulders, arthritis in both thumbs, carpel tunnel in both hands, torn cartilage in his knee. Building has been limited. Jim would like honest opinions on his art as well as all that are posted are also for sale. He only wants to recoup some the expense of the material. You never know maybe that painting you have will be worth lots of money when he becomes famous.
