Cancelled Due to Rainy Weather

Hope you are all staying dry. Out of respect for your canvases, paper, and art and for Mother Nature herself, tomorrow’s plein air is cancelled due to day-long rain.

You may want to visit Mt Aventine from 10 am-noon instead, where there is an alternate plein air event and a large back porch suitable for bad weather painting!

Hope you will join us in June at the National Colonial Farm.

Before It’s Gone…

This is the final weekend to experience the Accokeek Artists Alliance exhibit at Mattawoman Creek Art Center, closing May 24. The gallery has been filled with creativity, community, and even music — Lynn’s concert on May 17 was absolutely wonderful and deeply appreciated by all who attended.

As you wander through the show, be sure to visit the Gift Shop, where you can listen to Lynn’s CD and bring a little of that magic home.

Come celebrate the closing weekend with us — the art is waiting for you.

Many wonderful comments have been floating around about Lynn’s performance — people truly loved it.

We closed out this weekend of the AAA Art show at Mattawoman Creek Art Center with a wonderful concert by Lynn Hollyfield with Dave Abe. Thank you, Lynn; it was great! The show has only one weekend left to go so if you haven’t yet visited plan to stop by on May 22, 23 or 24th.

🌳 Plein Air Morning at Mary Pat Berry’s Garden — Join Us!

Stately trees, including the largest recorded Southern Red Oak in Charles County (left), and a vegetable and blooming flower garden on 40 acres of mixed forest and open grounds. Trails to the nearby Port To***co River.
