Our featured artist of the week is Laura Mikula.
Laura considers herself a self-taught artist who is always learning, mostly through the process of practice, trial, and error. Laura’s style, subjects, and media are versatile. She works with oils, acrylics, pastels, watercolor, and more recently in textured relief painting, often with a water-related theme. The beauty of our natural world and its creatures are her common subjects. She frequently refers to her extensive library of art books and favorite You-Tube artists to improve her skills and knowledge. Her work has often been featured in private, individual, and group showings and in various galleries where she has lived. Currently, she has works of art at the September Moon Gallery in Findley Lake, New York, and Beach Street Art Gallery on Marco Island, Florida. Now a full-time Florida resident, Laura has lived in multiple states and traveled the country extensively and has been coming to Naples since childhood. She and her husband and her two children reside on Isle of Capri in Naples. She is a member of the Marco Center for the Arts. Some of her works can be seen at www.facebook.com/LauraMikulaArt and on her website ww.LauraMikulaArt.com where you can order prints and original works of art.
