“Lucky 7 Journal” – CALL FOR SUBMISSIONS

The next issue of “Lucky 7 Journal” is scheduled to be published in June. It is the publication of the Region 7 Marine Brigade. Submission deadline is June 1, 2020. Please send to Lt. Col. Robert Stronach at [email protected].

We are looking for writeups and photos about your ship and marine unit’s activities over the past year – including how you creatively adapt and overcome in a coronavirus era.

If you have good photos, please send them. We are looking for images to prominently display on the front and back covers as well as inside. The higher the resolution, the better.

If you can provide interesting news briefs and features, please send them. First person accounts are welcome, too.

Our ship's AI, Alexa, encouraged us to experience virtual culture today as it's International Museum Day. Then we learned that the Smithsonian is offering a three-part course on "Star Trek: Inspiring Culture and Technology" through EDX. The first part begins today.

Explore the impact and influence of Star Trek on today's society and technology.

As most of us have been in isolation or restricted, we have been taking advantage of communicating remotely, especially Zoom video conferencing. We took the opportunity to extend Vulcan "Live Long and Prosper" greetings during two church-related international Zoom conferences. Anything to spread Trek cheer!
