Tours of The Castle are available April through December, but we provide a full calendar of history-related events throughout the year. Archaeology digs, themed house tours, food history dinners, cemetery tours, and summer history camps are among the many programs we offer. This year’s Cemetery Tour series brings Marietta’s history to life through themed experiences including Patriots Tour, Service and Sacrifice, Mound Cemetery Coming Alive, and Bringing Forth Those Pioneers. Each tour offers a unique look at the people, stories, and legacies that shaped Marietta’s past.

Step into the 1820s–1840s at The Castle’s History Camp from July 6–10, 9am–3pm for a week of hands-on history, exploration, and adventure.

This year’s camp immerses participants in the fascinating era of 1820–1840 through a variety of interactive sessions led by community partners, educators, and historical experts. Each day, campers rotate through engaging activities designed to bring the past to life and make learning memorable, meaningful, and fun.

Celebrate the longest day of the year at Third Thursdays with The Castle: Summer Solstice Concert ☀️🎶
Join us Thursday, June 18 from 7–8:30 pm for an evening of live music, local history, and summer tradition. Enjoy an outdoor performance by R&R and commentary from staff archaeologist Wes Clarke about how the solstice was marked by Native Americans with alignments on the prehistoric earthworks.

Admission is free and seating is first come, first served. Guests are encouraged to bring folding chairs or blankets for the concert. https://www.mariettacastle.org/events
