Historic Winslow House

Historic Winslow House The ancestral home of the founding family of Marshfield, is on the National Register of Historic Pla Ancestral home of the founding family of Marshfield.

Built in 1699, it is filled with period artifacts and architecture. This historic local gem is also a venue for lectures, dinners, children's events and private functions.

We are looking for folks to join our team. Tour guides must like people -past and present, we supply the historical info on the people from the past and you share with our visitors and members. Maybe you like to dig in the garden, we have two small gardens to tend.to. Do you like to entertain at home, consider the Winslow House your home and our guests your family. Looking to expand your resume with media knowledge, come set-up power-point/mic for lectures & presentations or musical events. Whatever your talent, we would love for you to join us. We welcome your comradeship.

Tues Sept 10, 2019 at 10:30AM - refreshments/11:00AM lecture -the Coffee Series continues with Carolyn Ravenscroft, historian and archivist. She will speak on "Duxbury Women at Sea". In the 19thc, ship captains sailed around the world and sometimes they brought their wives and children. Hear their story. Members $6.00. Non-members $8.00.

Come to the Historic Winslow House onTuesday August 13th, we are overjoyed to bring you 'Marshfield Memories: Growing up in Seaview". Exerpts from W. Ray Freden's blog along with a selection of photgraphs that will be presented by Kezia Bacon.
The Tuesday Coffee Hour Series begins at 10:30 with registration & refreshments and the powerpoint presentation begins @ 11:00. Come meet Ray's sister Judi who offered to greet our guests and bake a sweet treat from their Mom's recipe box. $6:00 members/$8:00 nonmembers.
This will be a nostalgic trip from days gone by, a glance at life in Marshfield in the 1940's and 50's from the vantage of young Marshfield lad. Come and join us ! 781-837-5753
