A HUGE thank you to all who came to the Upham House to celebrate and make our 47th Pie & Ice Cream Social a big success!!! Over 500 people walked through the house and many more enjoyed the festive atmosphere in the front lawn. Thank you to Monie Upham for coming up from Milwaukee to meet and greet the folks.
Thank you to Jeff & Debbie Sol with the Wisconsin Wheelmen and their group. Your High Wheel display and interaction with visitors was a true highlight!
Thank you to all the faithful volunteers who helped prepare for and 'work' the event. From working in the yard and gardens, to cutting pies to hauling tables and chairs, to serving people, to washing dishes... We could not do this without any of you!!! Thank you!

Throughout May the North Wood County Historical Society hosted 302 third grade students and over 50 adults from Marshfield area schools. Students reviewed local history and participated in hands on activities throughout the Upham house including making butter, setting a formal table, writing with dipping pens. New this year is the ‘Declaration Room’ where students discussed the connection with the signing if the Declaration of Independence, the 4th of July, and Americas’s 250th anniversary. Everyone had an opportunity to ‘sign’ the document.
A HUGE thank you to the following volunteers instrumental to the the experience. Without these folks, these tours could not happen!
Sherri Bauer, Bob & Sue Kult, Don Schnitzler, Lynette Pupp, Laura & Tom Ptak, Mary Schlafke, Paula Pritzel, Gail LaFontaine, Brad Allen, Annette Mattson, Ken Bargender, Nancy Sternweiss, Roxanne Tomkowiak
