Hirst Woodturning Studio Woodturning Studio that creates bowls, vases, art sculptures, bottle stoppers, platters, pens, furniture and much more!

I work mostly to create fine bowls and wall sculptures that highlight the natural beauty of the wood. I use many woods native to the Western U.S.: California Buckeye, Walnut, Big Leaf Maple, Redwood and Myrtle wood. I also enjoy working with Koa and Norfolk Island pine from Hawaii. My work is mainly decorative art forms in the shape of bowls, vases and sculptural pieces.

My job for this week Wednesday & Thursday @ USF
These bleacher seats from the 1958 War Memorial Gym were cut down in length, planed smooth & flat on the back side mounted to the wall with cleats, in the Malloy Pavillon.
Then I mounted a framed plaque,
And stud mounted aluminum letters with the Donor names.
