When the Village of Marysville went from a population of a few hundred to a few thousand in the early 1920s, lots of housing had to be built and quickly. Near the current Marysville park, buildings known as the "barracks" were built. At the same time, near 14th and Indiana, nicer dwellings were erected, in buildings known as Lincoln, Franklin and Jefferson.

A mid-19th century ivory covered Book of Common Prayer from the Church of England, once owned by Frances Bunce Brockway, a gift from her husband George. The book contains clasps that bear the names of the couple and intricate carvings.
