Look closer! Take time to see the smaller items at the Mason Square Museum .

Open Friday and Saturday every week from 10 am to 4 pm.

See a very rare button from the coat of a (Republic of) Texas Marine Corps member. There may be only 4 verified in the state.

The spearhead on the wall is the family memorial to a relative killed during an early confrontation with a band of the Comanche tribe.

Plus, we have new books in the gift shop.

The Mason Square Museum will re-open the final weekend in June after renovation to its flooring. The museum will be open Friday and Saturday, June 28th and 29th from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Known for its stunning topaz display which includes a Mason Topaz on loan from the Smithsonian.

The museum also features an exhibit about children captured in the Hill Country in the latter half of the 19th Century. The display was inspired by Scott Zesch’s book, “Captured” which was recently featured on an episode of Tumbleweed Smith. The book is available for sale in the museum workshop.

The museum brings history alive with chronological displays ranging from prehistoric time to today.
