"Once again the Apple Festival will be held at the TWM on Nov 7. Last year we had a DJ and live music inside, outside were re-enactors. We had home made Apple Pies and other goodies. While your shopping around why not tour the museum? The school room is my favorite part of the museum. Please come and support the museum. We want to continue this great tradition of 59 years! Tonight the OB Zoning Board voted DOWN the application by a vote of 4-3 to build a 3 story apartment building with 54 apartments on the old Matawan World Of Gardening site. After tearing down the historic Bennett House on Rt 516 in the middle of the night we held this developer for his action and conduct. We will keep advocating to preserve our towns history against developers who wish to destroy our OB historic buildings. We thank the four brave OB residents on the Zoning Board who voted to deny the application for their support!

Old Bridge Day CANCELLED

As per OB Parks And Recreation:

Good afternoon, everyone,
Unfortunately, due to the impending storm and the forecast for this weekend, Old Bridge Day, scheduled for Saturday, September 26, 2026, is canceled. Since the rain date was scheduled for Sunday, September 27, that date is also canceled.
While we always try to hold the event whenever possible, the current forecast includes rain, “feels like” temperatures in the low to mid-50s, and wind gusts of 25–30 MPH. These conditions would likely significantly impact attendance and would also make it unsafe and impractical to operate rides and keep tents and displays secure.
We also understand the investment each of you has made in merchandise, food, supplies, staffing, and preparation for Old Bridge Day. With that in mind, we believe canceling the event is the most prudent decision and is in everyone’s best interest.
