Join us **Friday, May 2 at 7:00 PM** at the **Mathews Museum** for a special evening presentation during **May Faire 2025**! 🎉

**Pam Muffelman**, a Mathews County resident of over 30 years and a frequent speaker on the history of **Williams Wharf Landing**, will guide us through the rich and fascinating past of this vital local site — from the **1600s** to today. 🛶⚓️

Learn how Williams Wharf served as a bustling port, a lookout during the Revolutionary War, and a hub for shipbuilding, trade, and daily life. We’ll also explore its ongoing transformation from a 250-year-old commercial site into a treasured public waterfront.

🕰️ **Doors open at 6:30 PM**
📍 Mathews Museum, 200 Main Street
🎟️ **Free and open to the public**

Come connect with the stories that shaped our shores and celebrate the unique history of Mathews County.

Join your friends and neighbors and become an important part of the all-new MATHEWS MUSEUM. We have openings for volunteer woodworkers, cabinetmakers, exhibit/display designers, photographers, etc. we also need volunteers with little-to-no experience who are willing to learn some interesting museum skills - guides, local historians, storytellers, etc. Step back in time when you visit Tom Hundley's Country Store, or consider holding your next group meeting in our new theatre.

Call or text Tom Robinson, museum president, 804-240-4065, for additional information about how YOU can become a vital part of our museum family. Medical fact - Those who spend as little as one hour of their time each week volunteering in their community LIVE LONGER AND MORE FULFILLING LIVES! I hope to hear from you soon. Tom Robinson
