Good Morning! I was dangerously close to being late this morning because… (two words)… FARMERS MARKET!!

My first visit, and oh my goodness! I was too busy purchasing things and forgot to take pictures AT the market, but snapped a few at home to show you my haul!

Such a lovely facility! Friendly, kind, and talented vendors! I will be back again when I have more time to browse! (Take cash! 1s, 5s, 10s, 20s! You will use them! 💵) Prices are so reasonable! Food, plants, handmade gift items, children’s cuddly toys, cards, jewelry, wow!!

Jill is right there running the show! Talk to her about becoming a vendor - she has applications on site or hit up the webpage! 🤗

Here’s what I grabbed! 📸
Herbs to pot in my kitchen garden, a beautiful Hanging Plant for my neglected front porch, Dinner Rolls to go with the stew I’ll ask Craig to whip up for dinner tonight (hey… I’m working!), Blackberry Jam (oh so good!), a Strawberry Pie for dessert, and a pretty Quilled Card by my friend Kalah!

Don’t feel guilty about trying the samples! Do it! (They sold me on the rolls and jam!) 😉

Next time I’m going to gather up some of the fresh produce offerings! GO GO GO! You won’t regret the trip. 🍓🌱🥔🥒🥕🍅🫐

A quick story: Our painters group meets on Thursdays at the Guild. Always a fun day creating and gathering with friends… 🤗
A week ago, Artist Mary Helen Boyd did something kind for me. In return, I told her to please pick one of my new embellished terracotta pots as a gift. She said she couldn’t choose, and she would wait to give them a chance to sell first then she would choose… so I went home and made her a special custom pot - embellished with a clay representation of her beautiful home.
I brought it to the Guild and tucked it onto the display with the others.

After the painters arrived today, Jan Jones lured her into the gallery saying “come look at the new pots O’Dina brought in…” as I hid around the corner with my video going to see if she would find it…
Her sweet surprised reaction was heartwarming (shared in the video below).

Art doesn’t have to be perfect. Sometimes it just needs to come from the heart to make it meaningful.

Time flies! It’s hard to believe it’s already time to pick up your May Art Inspiration “TREES” artwork!

Swap them out for June’s Inspiration, “HOUSES” artwork! I’ve already got 3 waiting to go up on the wall 😉🏠
