Identified as Dane County's oldest schoolhouse, this museum takes you back to experience how schooling was done for all grades in one room. You'll see the student desks, teacher's desk, chalkboards, wood stove, piano, and yes, even the dunce hat. There are pictures of different classes that attended the school along with books and other historic documents. This is a favorite field trip for local s
chools and have their lunches outside on the lawn. Please be careful and respectful of the schoolhouse and the items inside. They also hold memories for those who attended, as well as their families who have been brought up with the tradition. The schoolhouse is open on Sunday's and holidays, starting on Memorial Day through Labor Day, providing we have volunteers available. If you would like to volunteer, please send us a message!
