Everybody loves a parade, and our Zullo event attendees, with their great seats on the deck, were especially thrilled to watch the action along Main Street. A big thanks to all the volunteers townwide who put together the festivities to mark Medfield's 375th anniversary. As an added note -- our building (yes, we own it now!) also got a great upgrade thanks to the Town facade grant that made new signage, lighting and masonry repair/clean up possible.

Her flowers survive the frost -- every time! Soak in their beauty by joining us at the Zullo on Sunday, Oct. 25 from 2-3:30 p.m. to hear from award-winning artist Lissa Banks who is regularly praised for her larger-than-life paintings of flowers.

"Unruly Child" is a piece Lissa will discuss in detail. A stunning painting of a dahlia in full bloom, it has caught the attention of many Zullo visitors during the gallery's current Juried Exhibition. Pictured here was the work in progress.

This program is part of the Zullo Gallery Culture Club series made possible by Medfield Foundation, Inc. Legacy Fund.

Medfield Garden Club representatives will also be sharing information about the club and its initiatives. As an added bonus, a lucky attendee will win a beautiful fall arrangement created by club members.

We've got lots of creativity on tap at the Zullo with great art classes for kids coming up! On Weds., Oct. 7, with the half-day of school, Casey Worth & Mary Barrett will be using the afternoon to explore sculpture with K-3rd graders as part of their new Art Explorers series. Now is the time to sign up!

Later in the month, Kurt Jackson will be running his fabulous Saturday classes kicking off on Oct. 24 with Drawing & Mixed Media (gr. 1-3) and Cartoons & Clay/Drawing & Building (gr. 3-5).

Don't miss The Art of Children's Books with award-winning author/illustrator David Biedrzycki on Sunday, Oct. 4 at the Zullo! We have two sessions to choose from: 1 p.m. and 3 p.m.

Dave knows how to engage audiences -- and especially children! It's something he regularly does across the country with school presentations. Through his interactive demonstration and a bit of storytelling, he'll walk everyone through the making of his newly released book, “The Last Leaf.” He will also be autographing books and posing for photos for anyone interested.

This event is also in collaboration with Friends of Medfield Public Library which will receive free copies of "The Last Leaf."

The last time Dave was at the Zullo, it sold out fast!

It was an amazing evening of Latin music at the Zullo Gallery last night with Angel Subero and Latin Logic! Big thanks to Medfield Foundation Legacy Fund for making this sold-out show - and our entire Culture Club series possible, and affordable for all. Bonus: Anton Derevyanko, our Medfield High Jazz Band alumnus, Berklee grad, and an incredible musician, sat in on sax on several songs. Medfield Foundation, Inc.

At the Zullo, you can have your cake and eat it too! And, immerse yourself in art while you're at it.

The gallery has been a busy place lately with last night's artists' reception, the MCPE annual meeting, and then Metaxia’s Sweet Boutique phenomenal "Cake Art Workshop."

Next up -- the much-awaited Souldacious Wonders night of live music (tickets going fast) and summer art classes (spaces still available). Learn more at Zullogallery.org.
