We are so grateful for the Medford Township Police Department Alpha Squad who stopped by the Art Goes To Town - 3rd Annual Juried Fine Arts & Craft Fair at The Village at Taunton Forge. Many thanks to our artists, all the visitors who came out to support them, and especially our host and the businesses of the Village at Taunton Forge!

We pretty much maintained a weather bubble over us. It was a little more breezy than expected, but overall a good day!

We are a Rain or Shine event.

As an organizer for this and other outdoor events there are so much that goes to planning and executing the logistics of making an event happen. Everyone has the set date on their calendar, both artist and visitors, months of preparation, social media newspaper advertising, insurance, restroom accomodations are all in place for the event date.

Historically events with a rain date do not guarantee that the artists who committed are available. Typically most artists and visitors have made other plans, and history has shown that events with a rain date have a low turnout of both artists and visitors.

If we had moved our event to Sunday, we would not have been able to have the fair at all due to the extreme high winds.

These are difficult decisions for organizers. We are grateful for the tenacious Artists who do outdoor shows are very familiar with the risks and issues we all face with outdoor events.
