“Love Me Tender”
20”x20” oil and cold wax on canvas, 2026

With “Icons”, I’m exploring cultural figures through my own personal lens and visual language, which with every new painting, continues to move forward and is developing as standing somewhere between portrait, memory, myth, tribute and persona. For this Elvis piece, I wanted it to feel bold, modern, and a little untouchable, much like his legacy still echoing through music and American culture many decades later.

This one was an absolute dream to paint.

“Why So Serious?”
20”x20”, oil and cold wax on canvas, 2026

This is the first piece in a new series of iconic movie portraits I am currently working on.

Inspired by one of the most iconic lines in cinema, “Why so serious?”, delivered in Heath Ledger’s legendary performance in the movie “The Dark Knight”, is a question that feels less like humor and more like a confrontation.

As a villain, Joker has always intrigued me.
Not for the chaos but for the honesty hidden in his smile.

He exposes an uncomfortable truth: we can spend so much time learning how to wear a mask, we forget what’s actually behind it.
